    The Rewards of Wellbeing

    Living with Your Authentic Spirit

    We are welcoming the season of “Light” that occurs at this, the darkest time of year! The full Moon on December 3rd began the season of Advent, a magical count down to Christmas. The Sun is streaming divine wisdom through the sign of Sagittarius, while the Moon in Gemini wants to find a balance to communicate the wisdom of love that we all can trust.

    Feeling this flow of energy, I asked my husband what his fondest memories of Christmas were.  I watched him immediately drop into the shadow of his little boy that lost his mother abruptly around age two.  There was sadness under his anger as he began to describe his feelings of his holiday memories with his family.  My question to him had been prompted from my happy memories. One was getting up for school in the darkness of morning and turning on the Christmas tree lights and being in wonder of the wonderful smell of the fir tree and dreaming of what the beautifully wrapped presents held for Christmas Eve opening with extended family.

    In the ever so rapid evolution of planet earth, we all are being challenged to live with a sense of fulfillment and an open heart.  Many days I find myself being distilled to a place of emptiness because of the gloom in the world.

    Where do we find the polarity of the joy in order to move out of the pain?  First, we must FEEL the pain.  And then we must sink into the thoughts and beliefs that are creating the shadow.  Sounds simple and it is not always easily handled.  I’ve been taught and do believe from my experiences that our thoughts create our beliefs; our beliefs create our emotions, and our emotions create our actions: “Change your thoughts; change your life!”

    I hear some of you saying, “Oh I’ve tried that.”  This is where a mindfulness practice pays dividends.  By sitting in stillness or doing a walking meditation, you can become aware of your physical pains and explore your beliefs.  I am a believer that Louise L. Hay’s little book “Heal Your Body” opens understanding to the shadows that become manifested on a physical level. The physical symptoms that hold pain are where we store the dis-ease of our experiences.

    The pain of our collective can be seen in society with the overwhelming obesity and diabetes.  Look at Ms. Hays descriptions that reflect the shadow living in a great majority of our population.

    Diabetes:  Longing for what might have been.  A great need to control.  Deep sorrow with no sweetness left.

    Affirmation: This moment is filled with joy.  I now choose to experience the sweetness of today.

    Overweight:  Fear, need for protection.  Running away from one’s feelings because of insecurity, self-rejection . . .needing to seek fulfillment.

    Affirmation:  I am at peace with my own feelings.  I am safe where I am.  I create my own security.  I love and approve of myself.

    When we begin to be able to fully love ourselves, we are tapping into our soul-self where the authentic being is divinely guided.  This is where miracles of intention manifest and healings take place.  In this field, gratitude holds a frequency that brings our heart/minds into sync.

    The Winter Solstice is the darkest day of the year; a breaking point leading us to Light.  Find your quiet moment to review your year; embrace what has been painful.  You can visualize a past experience with challenging emotions and recreate the experience with different results.  The mind will believe your heartfelt image!

    Fulfillment – having lasting nourishment from your involvement with others and your living environment.  Please keep peace with your Soul.

    Essential Oil Diffuser Recipes

    Mulled Cider: 2 drops Orange, 2 drops Cinnamon, 1 drop Clove

    Winter Wonderland: Equal Parts of White Fir, Cedarwood and Cypress

    Relax & Breathe: Equal Parts of Lavender, Cedarwood, and Marjoram

    Holiday Spirit: 1 drop Frankincense, 1 drop Grapefruit, 2 drops Douglas Fir


    WARM UP with House Blend CHAI SPICE

    To make tea use 2 quarts water & 1oz. Chai Spice blend. Cover & simmer 20-30 min. Add choice of milk and sweetener!

    For HOT CIDER use the same amount of  cider and spice blend or make MULLED WINE, adding 1 cup orange juice & sweetener to taste. Fun to add a cinnamon stick or sliced citrus….ENJOY
