The California Right to Know Genetically Engineered Food Act is a ballot initiative that simply requires that food sold in retail outlets such as grocery stores (restaurants not included) be labeled if it is produced with genetic engineering. Signature gathering to qualify the initiative for the ballot will begin mid-February and end mid-April.
